Just do it oder EINFACH MACHEN … Nun ja, leichter gesagt als getan. Es gibt viele Gründe, warum wir nicht immer „einfach machen“. Der Superheld in uns, der sich traut, der loszieht und einfach mal die Welt rettet, hat auch immer mindestens einen Bösewicht, der seine Pläne durchkreuzt und ihm das Leben schwer macht. Wenn es ums einfach machen geht, gibt es für unseren Captain Just do it oft einen ganz besonders wahnwitzigen Gegenspieler. Darf ich vorstellen: Poison Perfect. Er flüstert uns ins Ohr „Du bist nicht gut genug. Du bist nicht ausreichend vorbereitet. Es könnte noch ein Fehler drin sein. Was, wenn Du scheiterst?“

Und egal, wie oft Captain Just do it ins andere Ohr schreit „Was, wenn nicht?“, so sind wir doch oft eingeschlossen in der giftigen Wolke der Angst vor dem Versagen. Ein Versagen, das uns als inkompetent outen und uns selbst und – was für viele noch deutlich beängstigender ist – die anderen maßlos enttäuschen würde. Mit dem Effekt, dass wir eben nicht einfach machen.
Poison Perfect verkörpert den Perfektionismus in seiner ungesunden Form. Neben dem grundsätzlich gesunden Wunsch nach Vollkommenheit und einer daraus resultierenden Gewissenhaftigkeit, kurz dem perfektionistischen Streben, kommt hier eine zweite stark ausgeprägte Komponente hinzu: die perfektionistische Besorgnis, die sich in einer großen Angst zu versagen und damit verbunden dem permanenten Versuch, Fehler zu vermeiden, manifestiert. Klingt fies? Ja, ist es auch.
